Watch a selection of videos and have a go at some analysis of them. Use all of your notes to help you and remember that you should be able to make DETAILED reference to texts during your exam.
Year 12 - you will be closely examining four texts and looking at form, audience, intitution and representation. Remember how we divided our pages into four during the revision lessons? Do that and then write a few paragraphs on each topic. You can have a look back at previous questions and base answers on those if you are stuck.
Year 13 - Your exam requires comparison and linking ideas aswell as the semiotic analysic required in the Year 12 exam. You may be asked about brand identity, ideas and values, representations, how messages are conveyed and how such things link to the wider media world. You cannot simply write about just the two texts that you watch. You must be able to apply theories/issues and debates within your answer and please remember to use media terminology. Go back through all of your old notes and use these to help you revise.
